This swimsuit is made of 78% Nylon waste, transformed into ECONYL® - Regenerated Nylon. The innovative material is made from fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic, all gathered globally.
Through purifying and recycling used conventional nylon, the same form of it is created, but regenerated and possible to recycle infinitely.
For every 10,000 tons of ECONYL®, the company is able to save 70,000 barrels of crude oil and 65,100 tons of CO2-eq emissions (ECONYL®, 2020).
